Abrar A. Rageh is an American-Egyptian junior scientist in ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota. She is socially and politically active locally, nationally and internationally. Despite her presence in Minnesota during the start of the “Arab Spring," her ties to the Arab world kept her constantly aware of situations on the ground. Abrar has held leadership positions in organizations including Session: Middle East, Egyptian Student Association, Students for Justice in Palestine, Muslim Student Association, Multicultural Student Association, and she particpated in Model Arab League. Abrar’s dream is to see a democratic Arab world with many bridges to the rest of the world.
