Alaa Abd Elrahman Obeida is currently studying Medicine at Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty, Cairo University and is the founder and coordinator of EYouth Initiative funded by U.S. State Department Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund through an international competition. Mr Obeida is also the executive director of MediVerse NGO and one of its founders as well. He was the Local Youth Representative (LYR) for iEARN Egypt 2011 and worked for iEARN since 2004. He has been a speaker and coordinator of many youth activities in Egypt.
Mr. Obeida participated in the U.S. State Department Study of the United States Institute (SUSI) program at Temple University, Philadelphia PA in 2010; studying religious pluralism. He was the head of the Egyptian delegation to iEARN International Youth Summit in Taiwan, July 2011.
